Di Holdsworth is a practicing artist living in the Blue Mountains, Australia.
Working primarily in kinetic assemblage, her work explores movement, sound, materiality, and constructed form. Driven by music box movements and hand-built mechanisms, these pieces unfold as layered narratives that draw on myth, fairy tale, philosophy, popular culture and history.

Her delicate sculptures recreate our first experiences of clockwork and wind-up objects, with their freaky-fascinating movements, their parody of human mechanics, their unnerving foreshadowing of adult desires and relationships.
